The Company

Wentworth Security was formed in 1996 to provide a specialist security service to industry & commerce.

The founder, Christopher Chubb, had completed 31 years in the Police Force with the majority of his service in Detective roles. He is a vastly experienced investigator. He essentially developed a speciality in covert and under cover operations.

During the last 7 years of his Police Service he held senior positions with the South West Regional Crime Squad and was a founder member of the National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS). As a Detective Superintendent he set up and managed the Police Intelligence facility for the South West of England & Wales, before taking charge of the national Operational Support Unit, providing specialist covert facilities for all of the Police Forces of England and Wales.

Wentworth Security has evolved into an organisation providing essential regulatory support to the licensed trade and has an enviable track record in turning round ailing operations.

Working with operators we review current procedures and make recommendations to achieve the support of the authorities and assist in their implementation.

Furthermore we are experienced in observing and reporting on the impact that licensed premises have on the local community providing independent reports on our observations for the benefit of the authorities.

We have provided reports to Crown Courts, Magistrates Courts and Licensing committees in respect of a variety of licensing issues on many occasions. These have been in Greater London, Romford, Ilford, Hemel Hempstead, Westminster, Waltham Forest, Watford, Wimbledon, Southampton, Brighton, Luton, Reading, Cheltenham, Lancaster, Nottingham, Bangor, Dartford, Sheffield, Worthing, Windsor, Guildford, Oxford, Esher and Bournemouth.

During 2007/08 we have become successfully involved in providing support for planning consent in respect of entertainment venues and gathering evidence in support of applications for Gaming Certificates.
